Priego, what a big place...

Third-grade English is learning about cities and towns. The song accompanying the lesson goes like this:

City or country,

Where do you live?

Is your town small?

Or is your town big?

Ana and I acted out the song in the front of the classroom, spreading our hands for "big" and bringing them together for "small."

When we asked the students about Priego, huge smiles spread on their faces as they shouted, "big!"

We just looked at each other and shrugged. To these kids, Priego is huge, all they have as comparison are the little villages around it.
